Questions about reporting? Here are the answers.
Can't figure it out? Email info@kleanup.nl — we respond within 24 hours on business days.
- How do I file a report?
- Open the app or go to melden.kleanup.nl, tap 'Report litter', take a photo, confirm the spot on the map and send. Done in under a minute.
- Do I need to create an account?
- No. You can report without an account and, if you prefer, fully anonymously. If you leave an email address, you'll get an email when we're on our way and when it's cleaned up.
- How fast is my report picked up?
- 24 hours for claimed incidents: once your report is reviewed and accepted as a priority incident, we are on site within 24 hours. Regular, duplicate, incomplete or out-of-scope reports get a separate status. Urgent situations, such as glass on a playground, we handle faster.
- Where can I track the status?
- After sending, your personal status page opens — save that link. You'll see every step, including our worker's live location and arrival time once they're on the way, and afterwards the before-and-after photo.
- Which neighbourhoods does Klean Up cover?
- Amsterdam Nieuw-West, with Osdorp as the starting area.
- What happens to the collected waste?
- We cash in deposit bottles, and materials go separated to recycling. Disposal happens at Recyclepunt Sneevlietweg.
- My report falls outside your area. Now what?
- We pick up whatever falls inside our working area. Outside it, you can contact the municipality via amsterdam.nl/meldingen.
- I want my data deleted.
- Email info@kleanup.nl with your report link; we delete your data within 30 days. See also the privacy statement at kleanup.nl/privacy.
